Description:

Singapore's most popular outdoor arts event, Ballet Under The Stars, is back this July to bring entertaining dance performances to the audience.. BUTS is an annual occasion for family gatherings, social gatherings, and company outings, where audience members can savour a leisurely picnic while they enjoy a medley of modern as well as classical dance performances. The children are not forgotten, as fun activities like face painting and glitter tattooing are available for a nominal fee.

This year, don't miss the specially curated programme that features Concerto Barocco by George Balanchine, Piano Concerto No. 2, Opus 102 by Edmund Stripe, a pas de deux from a classical masterpiece, and the premiere of a new work by American choreographer Molly Lynch.

BUTS offers the perfect ground for meeting SDT's objective of education and outreach by offering to the masses a platform where people from all walks of life can be exposed to a range of different dance-forms. Dance groups from local schools and tertiary institutions, as well as Youth Dancers (Singapore) will be invited to perform during the pre-show segment.
