Nami is from Tokyo, Japan, where she taught dancing for 15 years before moving to Bangkok in 2005. As an enthusiastic teenager Nami discovered her devotion to dance, starting with Gymnastic Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. Later she progressed to Ballet, Contemporary and Bellydance to improve her her skill set. Today she is a vivid Pole and Hip Hop dancer, but never gave up her love for Bellydance. Nami's teaching style is energetic, fun and inspiring at the same time. Dancing with veils or cane involves skillful ways of enhancing the expression of dance during performance. Veil and cane techniques serve as an extension of the dance motions. Experienced dancers make those movements look effortless and elegant which is why dancing with veils or cane is known as glamorous and visually stunning genres of Bellydance. |
