Description:
Gagaku is the oldest traditional Japanese music and the amalgamation of the
traditional Japanese songs and dances, indigenized instrumental music and
dances of the Asian-continent-origin, and the novel styles of expression
inspired by those imported music, which eventually saw its culmination in
its present style in the 10th century.
Gagaku encompasses several genres including the wind and string music, court
dance and music, and singing.
This workshop offers its participants the invaluable opportunity to
experience the timeless art-form of traditional dance and chanting.
Please note this workshop is designed for people who are professionals in
the performing arts.
