*What's CCÉ?
CCÉ is an international organization which promotes Ireland's traditional music, dance and language. The head office is in Dublin, Ireland, and there are branch offices in many other countries.
CCÉ is an abbreviation of the Gaelic name Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (pronounced, koltas kyoltoree eyren) which means "Association of Irish Musicians".
Established about 50 years ago in Ireland to promote traditional Irish culture, it spread to countries with large Irish immigrant populations, such as the US and Australia, and has developed into a worldwide organization.
